New Delhi: “ Paintings are created with the heart; build with the mind, Painting is just another way of keeping a diary, Every now and then one paints a picture that seems to have opened a door and serves as a stepping stone to other things, A fine work of art – music, dance, painting, story – has the power to silence the chatter in the mind and lift us to another place,” said Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University at the inauguration of Painting Exhibition of Soumen Dutta at Habitat Centre.
The exhibition under the title Ananta has some amazing artwork and photographs which capture the secular moorings of the festival rituals and nuances of the biggest social extravaganza of Bengal.
The Artists Sumen Dutta said,”I was fascinated by the idea of the simplistic art of contemporary drawing which has always been concerned with making marks.”
Aruna Vasudev, Shibani Kashyap, Rochika Agarwal, Rima Dutta, Vikram Mittal, Navina Jafa, Shivani Sharma Singh, Anuj Lalwani, Means Malhotra, Anuj Mahajan, Priyanka Dewan and Ankit Nagpal were also attended the inauguration.
