Embassy of Russia Presented Feature Film  “The Challenge” at 17th Global Film Festival Noida

Noida, India – The Embassy of Russia and the Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the International Film and Television Club, hosted the screening of the critically acclaimed Russian feature film “The Challenge”, directed by Kim Shipenko. The screening took place at Marwah Film City as part of the 17th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN), attracting a full house of filmmakers, cinema enthusiasts, students, and film lovers.

The event was graced by Ekaterina Lazareva, Cultural Attache of the Embassy of Russia, who delivered an engaging address on the legacy and impact of Russian cinema. “Russian films have a rich history of blending profound storytelling with artistic excellence, and we are thrilled to share this cinematic masterpiece with the Indian audience,” she remarked.

Sushil Bharti, Director of Radio Noida 107.4FM, skillfully hosted the program and emphasized the significance of cultural exchanges in fostering international understanding. “Events like these build bridges between nations, offering insights into each other’s traditions, emotions, and creativity through the universal language of film,” he stated.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Festival Director of the 17th Global Film Festival and President of Marwah Studios, expressed his delight at presenting Russian cinema at the festival. “Cinema is a powerful medium for storytelling that transcends borders. Hosting ‘The Challenge’ highlights our commitment to bringing diverse cinematic experiences to audiences in India,” said Dr. Marwah.

As a recognition of its cinematic excellence, “The Challenge” was conferred with the Award of Distinction at the festival. The award was presented by Sushil Bharti on behalf of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and was graciously received by Ekaterina Lazareva, Cultural Attache of the Embassy of Russia, on behalf of the filmmaker.

The 17th Global Film Festival Noida continues to serve as a platform for celebrating global cinema and fostering cultural ties, uniting creative minds and audiences from around the world.
