Noida, India – The Embassy of Austria and the Indo Austria Film and Cultural Forum, in association with the International Film and Television Club, proudly hosted the screening of the Austrian feature film “Andrea Gets A Divorce”, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Josef Hader, at the 17th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN). The event took place at Marwah Film City in a hall packed with filmmakers, cinema enthusiasts, film lovers, and students.

The screening was graced by the presence of renowned Austrian film critic Murtaza Ali, who delivered an insightful address on the evolution of Austrian cinema. He highlighted its unique storytelling style, artistic depth, and its growing significance in global cinema.

Sushil Bharti, Director of Radio Noida 107.4FM, skillfully conducted the program and shared his thoughts on the importance of cultural exchange through cinema. “Such screenings not only bridge gaps between nations but also provide a platform for diverse voices to be heard,” he remarked.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Festival Director of the 17th Global Film Festival and President of Marwah Studios, expressed his joy in bringing Austrian cinema to the festival. “The beauty of film lies in its ability to transcend boundaries. Through events like these, we celebrate the art of storytelling and strengthen the cultural ties between our nations,” he said.

The Indo Austria Film and Cultural Forum was established to foster collaboration in art, cinema, and culture, promoting a deeper understanding and appreciation of each other’s heritage.

The event concluded on a celebratory note with “Andrea Gets A Divorce” receiving the Award of Distinction. The honor was presented by Dr. Sandeep Marwah and was graciously accepted by Murtaza Ali on behalf of the Austrian film fraternity.
