Noida, April 30, 2025: In a remarkable step towards strengthening bilateral relations through art, culture, and media, H.E. Mr. Fernando Bucheli, Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to India, formally nominated Dr. Sandeep Marwah as the Chair of the Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum under the aegis of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI).
The official announcement was made at a prestigious gathering at Marwah Studios, the international headquarters of ICMEI, marking a new chapter in India–Ecuador cultural diplomacy.
Ambassador Fernando Bucheli lauded Dr. Marwah’s outstanding global contributions to media, education, and cultural exchange. “Dr. Marwah’s visionary leadership and commitment to peace through creative arts will elevate this forum into a dynamic platform for cross-cultural collaboration,” said the Ambassador.

The Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum will focus on: Promoting cinematic cooperation and film festivals, Facilitating academic and artistic exchange programs, Organizing cultural exhibitions and talent exchange initiatives, Encouraging co-productions and bilateral workshops This initiative is a part of ICMEI’s larger vision of fostering cultural diplomacy across continents through its network of over 100 international forums. The event also included a ceremonial poster launch and a special segment on MSTV OTT, where Ambassador Bucheli discussed the significance of Indo-Ecuador ties in the evolving global cultural landscape. With this appointment, the Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum is poised to become a landmark alliance in promoting mutual respect, artistic excellence, and global friendship.
