Noida, April 30, 2025: In a significant move towards strengthening cultural ties between India and Ecuador, H.E. Mr. Fernando Xavier Bucheli Vargas, Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to India, was officially nominated as the Patron of the Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum. The announcement was made during a formal ceremony at the international headquarters of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), located at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida.
The newly established forum aims to foster collaboration in the fields of cinema, media, performing arts, and culture between the two nations, encouraging artistic exchanges, joint ventures, and mutual appreciation of each other’s rich heritage.
H.E. Mr. Fernando Xavier Bucheli Vargas expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for the initiative. He stated, “This forum will serve as a cultural bridge between Ecuador and India, helping to promote mutual understanding, friendship, and creative collaboration. I am honored to support this initiative as its Patron.”
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chancellor of AAFT University, welcomed the Ambassador’s acceptance with great appreciation. He said, “Under the dynamic leadership of Ambassador Bucheli, we are confident that the Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum will achieve new heights in cultural diplomacy and artistic exchange.”
Following the inauguration ceremony, Ambassador Bucheli was interviewed by MSTV, the official OTT platform of Marwah Studios, where he shared his vision for the forum and praised the cultural vibrancy and infrastructure of Marwah Studios.
This development marks another milestone in ICMEI’s ongoing mission to unite nations through the power of art and culture.
