Noida, September 4, 2026: The new academic session of the Asian School of Business (ASB) was inaugurated at Marwah Studios Complex 2, Noida, in the presence of distinguished guests, industry leaders, faculty members, and enthusiastic students.
The session was inaugurated by H.E. Hanisha Jairam, Ambassador of Suriname to India, and Shaily Mehrotra, Founder of Fixderma and FCL, marking an inspiring beginning for a new generation of business and entrepreneurial talent.
Addressing the students, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City and Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, explained the deeper meaning and purpose of education. He said, “Education is not merely about acquiring degrees or collecting information. True education is the process of transforming knowledge into wisdom, confidence, creativity, character, and action. The real purpose of education is to prepare you to face the challenges of life and contribute meaningfully to society.”
Dr. Marwah further emphasized the importance of discipline, innovation, communication skills, leadership, and practical exposure in building successful careers. “The world today is changing at an extraordinary speed. You have to continuously learn, adapt, innovate, and create opportunities rather than simply wait for them. Business education must develop not only entrepreneurs but responsible citizens and future leaders,” he added.
Speaking to the students, H.E. Hanisha Jairam, Ambassador of Suriname to India, congratulated the institution and the students on the commencement of the new academic session. She highlighted the importance of international exposure, cultural understanding, education, and strong relations between nations. “Education creates bridges between people, cultures, and countries. Young people have the power to shape the future, and institutions like the Asian School of Business provide them with the knowledge and confidence to become global citizens,” said the Ambassador.
Shaily Mehrotra, Founder of Fixderma and FCL, shared her entrepreneurial journey and encouraged the students to develop the courage to think differently and transform ideas into meaningful enterprises. She said, “Entrepreneurship is not only about starting a business; it is about identifying a problem, finding a solution, creating value, and having the courage to take responsibility for your vision. Success requires persistence, learning from failure, and the ability to keep moving forward.”
She encouraged the students to remain curious, develop strong professional skills, understand the needs of the market, and maintain integrity while pursuing their ambitions.
The interaction with the distinguished guests provided students with valuable insights into business, entrepreneurship, leadership, international relations, innovation, and the changing global economy. The inauguration marked an important beginning for the new academic session at the Asian School of Business, reaffirming its commitment to combining academic excellence with practical knowledge, industry interaction, international exposure, and leadership development.
The event concluded with a message to the students to dream big, acquire knowledge continuously, develop a global outlook, and become responsible leaders capable of creating a positive impact on society and the world.
