Proving its resilience to the world, Indian M&E industry is on the cusp of a strong phase of growth, backed by rising consumer demand and improving advertising revenue,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios at the inauguration of three days Media And Entertainment Conclave organised by Cecil Anthony Chief Mentor and Managing Trustee of NSHM Knowledge Campus at Kolkata.
“The Indian media and entertainment sector stood at Rs. 1.38 trillion in 2020 and is estimated at Rs. 1.79 trillion in 2021. Further, it is projected to grow to Rs. 2.23 trillion by 2023, due to acceleration of digital adoption among users across geographies. The market is projected to increase at a CAGR of 17% between 2020 and 2023. Indian Media And Entertainment Industry has been rated a Champion Industry right now It is going to bounce back in a big way,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah also founder of Noida Film City and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts.
Dr Marwah narrated the history of formation of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios and AAFT as a case study. He invited young talent to come forward to join this most fascinating and glamourous industry. The talk was followed by question answers by the students.
