New Delhi: The Independence Day of Azerbaijan was celebrated with great enthusiasm and diplomatic warmth at Hotel Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. The prestigious event was hosted by H.E. Mr. Elchin Huseynli, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India, and Mrs. Gunay Huseynli, and witnessed the presence of distinguished diplomats, ambassadors, government officials, business leaders, and members of the cultural fraternity.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo Azerbaijan Film and Cultural Forum, attended the celebrations and interacted with members of the diplomatic and cultural community. Speaking to the press on the occasion, Dr. Marwah extended his heartfelt congratulations to the people and Government of Azerbaijan on their National Day.
“Azerbaijan and India enjoy warm and friendly relations built on mutual respect, cultural understanding, and growing economic cooperation. Through the Indo Azerbaijan Film and Cultural Forum, we have been consistently working to strengthen people-to-people connections and promote cultural exchange between the two nations. Culture, media, and art have the power to bring countries closer and create lasting friendships,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.
The event was graced by Alpana Dubey, Joint Secretary for Southern Europe, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, who attended as the Chief Guest. She highlighted the importance of the strong and evolving relationship between India and Azerbaijan and appreciated the efforts being made to deepen bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
A large number of Ambassadors, High Commissioners, diplomats, business leaders, media personalities, and representatives from the cultural community participated in the celebrations, making the occasion a vibrant platform for international friendship and cooperation.
The evening reflected the rich heritage, culture, and achievements of Azerbaijan while reinforcing the growing bonds of friendship between India and Azerbaijan.
