Noida: A special newsletter dedicated to the 19th Global Film Festival Noida 2026, prepared by the talented students of the AAFT School of Mass Communication & Journalism, was ceremoniously released by distinguished dignitaries at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The occasion celebrated student creativity and the role of journalism in documenting cinema, cultural exchange and international dialogue.
The newsletter release gave aspiring journalists an opportunity to showcase their work before accomplished professionals from cinema, media, fashion, music, literature and international cultural affairs. It reflected AAFT’s emphasis on practical learning and participation in major creative events.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT, described the AAFT School of Mass Communication & Journalism as one of the most popular journalism schools in the world. He highlighted the importance of providing students with opportunities to apply their classroom learning through reporting, writing and editorial work at events such as the Global Film Festival.
Dr. Marwah added that preparing a festival newsletter encourages students to develop their observation, communication and storytelling skills while understanding the responsibility that accompanies journalism. He commended the students for their initiative and contribution to documenting the festival.
The session brought together actor Gurucharan Singh; anchor Manu Mirdha; renowned fashion designer Mandira Wirk; actor Garima Jain; journalist Monika Singh; forecaster Bipin Chandra Bhatt; actors Danish Iqbal, Murad Ali and Sahaarsh Shukla; writer Ujjwal Trivedi; renowned music director Shazad Ali; and Alfredo Caldera, Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of Venezuela.
Their presence provided a valuable setting for students to engage with diverse professional perspectives and appreciate the connections between media, cinema and cultural diplomacy. The ceremonial release underscored the contribution of young journalists to preserving the festival’s experiences and sharing its spirit of creativity and international understanding with a wider audience.
