International Forums

The forum was created in August 2016 with renowned music exponent Ustad Eltaaf Hussain Sarahang of Afghanistan nominating Dr. Marwah as the Chair of the Forum. Later Mr. Tahir Qadiry, Charge d Affairs, Embassy of Afghanistan in India accepted the Patron ship of and officially nominated Sandeep Marwah as the Chair the Forum. Vice President of Afghanistan H.E. Abdul Rashid Dostum has also appreciated him for his contribution to the media and entertainment industry. A documentary has been made as a joint venture, cultural week and many other events have been hosted by the forum till date. Alumni of AAft are doing wonders in Afghanistan.

H E Dr. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia to India inaugurated the Forum in March 2019 and nominated Dr. Marwah to Chair the Forum. A number of Seminars and a webinar have been held in which the Ambassador has participated and shared his words of wisdom. Further planning of a joint venture in films, tourism and other events related to media and entertainment industry are being finalized.

Initiated in April 2018 the Forum was launched during the Festival of Films from Azerbaijan by Mr. Jeyhun Aliyev, the then Charge d Affairs of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in India. Later it was no looking back as the Forum was keenly supported by H E Ashraf Shikhaliyev, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India. Dr. Marwah was invited to Azerbaijan as a State Guest and was also honoured by various organizations of the country.

In a significant move towards fostering cultural ties, the Indo Algeria Film and Cultural Forum was ceremoniously launched  in the month of January 2024.  The Indo Algeria Film and Cultural Forum is designed to bolster the relationship between India and Algeria by facilitating interaction, collaboration, and exchange in the realms of film and culture.  The event was spearheaded by H.E. Dr. Ali Achoui, the Ambassador of Algeria to India, who nominated Mr. Sandeep Marwah as the Chair while graciously accepting the Patronship of the Forum

The Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dr. Sabit Subasic took the initiative and created the Indo Bosnia Film and Cultural Forum in February 2018 nominating Dr. Marwah as the Chair of the Forum. The Forum held the very first Festival of Films from Bosnia which was accepted with great enthusiasm. An MOU has been signed covering development of Journalism, Radio, Television, Cinema, Tourism, Animation, Hospitality, Fashion, Design, Performing and Fine Arts, Skill Development, Environment, Solar Energy etc. between both the countries apart from giving a scholarship to a deserving student from Bosnia to undergo training in Films and its allied courses.

The Indo Bahamas Film and Cultural Forum was launched in July 2018 when Dr. Marwah was nominated as the Chairperson and H E Ashish Saraf Consul General of Bahamas accepted the Patronship of the Forum. An MOU has been signed to promote films, art, culture and tourism of the two countries. A scholarship for a deserving candidate from Bahamas for a course in Films and media studies has also been announced by ICMEI.

The forum was created in April 2022 with H.E. Andrei Rzheussky Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India nominating Dr. Marwah as the Chair of the Forum. Festival of Films from Belarus has been organised by IBFCF in April 2022 screening 4 films from Belarus. Planning for further events in future is in the pipeline.

September 2018 saw the creation of the Indo Brazil Film and Cultural Forum with H E Tovar Da Silva Nunes Ambassador of Brazil to India nominating Dr. Sandeep Marwah as the Chair of the Forum. Singers, Fashion designers and other delegates have been visiting the office of ICMEI from time to time. A scholarship for a deserving candidate from Brazil for a course in Films and media studies has also been announced by ICMEI.

ICMEI and the Embassy of Bulgaria in India had jointly formed Indo-Bulgarian Film & Cultural Forum in October 2015. The objective of this Forum is to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the people of India and the people of Bulgaria through art and culture. This forum will devise ways and means to achieve its objective. Inaugurating the Forum, HE Petko Doykov, Ambassador of Bulgaria in India nominated the President of ICMEI as the Founder Chairperson of Indo-Bulgarian Film & Cultural Forum. After the creation of the forum a film festival of Bulgarian films has been organized, the painting exhibition of Bulgarian painter was on display at Marwah Studios and a number of delegates from various fields have been attending summits organized by ICMEI. A scholarship to a deserving candidate for a course at Asian Academy of Film & Television has also been announced by ICMEI.

Dato Sri Dr. Sirajudeen Advisor to the Prime Minister of Cambodia inaugurated the Indo Cambodia Film and Cultural Forum during his visit to India in January 2020. H E Ung Sean later nominated Dr. Marwah as the Chair of the Forum while accepting the Patronship. India and Cambodia will work together to promote art, culture, films and travel industry and aim at bringing the people of the two countries together.

The Indo China Forum was launched in April 2017 by Mr.  Zhang Zhihong Cultural Counsellor of Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in India. Delegations from media and the entertainment industry have been regularly visiting the office of ICMEI. The dresses from China are showcased during the Global Fashion and Design Week.

In January 2019 H E K L Ganju, Consul General of the Republic of Comoros inaugurated the Indo Comoros Film and Cultural Forum and nominated Dr. Marwah to Chair the Forum. The Forum since has been active in promoting art and culture of both the countries. A scholarship to a deserving candidate from Comoros for a course at Asian Academy of Film & Television has also been announced by ICMEI.

ICMEI and the High Commission of Cyprus in India, had mutually agreed in November 2015 to form Indo Cyprus Film & Cultural Forum with a view to strengthen the friendly relations between the people of India and the people of Cyprus through art and culture. HE Demetrios Theophylactou, High Commissioner of Cyprus in India had nominated the President of the Society Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the first Chairperson of Indo-Cyprus film & Cultural Forum. Dr. Marwah was also invited as a State Guest to Cyprus where important MOUs were signed in fields related to media and entertainment industry.

During his visit to headquarters of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, in May 2016, HE Milan Hovorka, Ambassador of Czech Republic in India, was convinced that this unique Chamber could be a dynamic link for promotion of cultural relations between the Czech people and the people of India. His Excellency decided to form Indo-Czech film & Cultural forum and dedicate it to the cause of expanding Indo-Czech friendship and goodwill. Nominating the President of the Chamber Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the Founder Chairperson of Indo-Czech Film & Cultural Forum, His Excellency said that ways and means will be decided upon to achieve its objective. 

The announcement of creating the Forum was announced byMr.Bernardo Javalquinto the Presidential candidate from Chile and was formally inaugurated by H E Juan Angulo the Ambassador of Chile to India in March, 2021. Delegates from Chile have been attending summits hosted by ICMEI.

The Indo Cuba Film and Cultural Forum was launched in September 2022 by H E Alejandro Simancas Marin at the 10th International Documentary Film Festival Noida. Post the inauguration Cuba participated in the 15th Global Film Festival 2022 by screening the film Cuba Libre which was appreciated by one and all. Alex Pausides the renowned Cuban poet conducted a workshop at Marwah Studios which was attended by a large audience from all walks of life. The documentary Rumbata from Cuba was screened at the 11th Global Festival of Journalism 2023. A two day festival of films from Cuba was also held in the month of February 2023 screening four films from Cuba.

The Indo DPR Korea Film and Cultural Forum was launched in March 2023 by H E Choe Hui Chol the Ambassador of DPR Korea who nominated Sandeep Marwah as the Chair of the Forum. A MOU has been signed by ICMEI and the Korea Film Agency which will shortly be producing films as a joint venture. Three documentaries were also screened at the 11th Global Festival of Journalism in 2023 namely Songam Caves, Rimyongsu Falls and Children’s Dreams and Mother’s happiness. A festival of films from DPR Korea will be organized soon which will screen four films from Korea.

ICMEI and the Embassy of Egypt in India had jointly formed Indo-Egypt Cultural Forum. This Forum will hold seminars and debates for popularizing the Culture heritage of India and that of Egypt as well as to provide opportunities to the artists to perform and organize screening of films and television programme in each others country. His Excellency L Khaled el Bakly, Ambassador in India, Embassy of Arab Republic of Egypt was pleased to appoint President, Marwah Studios, as the Hony Chairperson of Indo-Egypt Cultural Forum.

The High Commission of Fiji in New Delhi and International Chamber of Media & Entertainment Industry decided to establish Indo-Fiji Cultural Forum in March 2017, with a view to bring the people of Fiji and the people of India closer together through art and culture. The representative of the Govt. of Fiji in India HE Arzeen Khan, Charge d Affairs of High Commission of Fiji nominated on behalf of the Govt. of Fiji, Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the founder Chairperson of this Forum

Indo-Gabon Cultural Forum – an initiative of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment industry presided over by Prof. Sandeep Marwah was inaugurated by the minister for Environmental Protection and National Resources of Gabon Honble Andrew Crepin GWODOG, during his visit to India in June 2016. Nominating widely acclaimed as the Global Cultural Minister Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the Chairperson of this Forum, the visiting dignitary expressed his desire to bring the people of Gabon and India closer together through art and culture. HE Desire Koumba, Ambassador of Gabon to India remarked on this occasion that the visit of the Minister to the headquarters of the Chamber signifies the importance his govt. attaches to developing and promoting friendly relations between the people of Gabon and people of India.

The Indo Gambia Film and Cultural Forum was launched in April 2018 by H E Jainaba Jagne, Ambassador of Gambia to India. The Chair of the Forum, Dr. Marwah announced a scholarship to a deserving candidate from Gambia for a course in Asian Academy of Film and Television. A number of delegates from Gambia have been attending summits organized by ICMEI from time to time and are members of the Chamber.

H.E. Archil Dzuliashvilli Ambassador of Georgia to India inaugurated the Forum in November 2018 nominating Dr. Marwah as the Chair of the Forum. Joint film business promotion of tourism, art and culture has been highlighted as the major areas of focus of the Forum. 

The Forum was created when the initiation came from Hannes Schurger a renowned businessman and a social worker from Germany in July, 2018. Sandeep Marwah has been honoured at the Bavarian Parliament for his contribution to International Diplomacy by Mr. Dunkel Norbert, Member of Parliament. Delegates from various fields have been visiting Marwah Studios from time to time and collaborations related to films, media and other businesses have taken place.

It was an eventful day in December 2017 when ICMEI associated with High Commission of Ghana in India and created the Indo Ghana Film and Cultural Forum to develop and promote relations between the two countries. H.E. Michael A N N Oquaye High Commissioner of Ghana to India was of the opinion that framing a wonderful and powerful organization as IIGFCF would be a new step towards cultural diplomacy and a lot can be done together.

A new chapter in the history of Guatemala and India was added in April 2016, when HE Georges de La Roche Du Ronzet, Ambassador of Guatemala in India formally inaugurated the Indo-Guatemala Cultural Forum. The objective of this Forum is to bring the people of Guatemala and India closer together through art and culture. This Forum will device ways and means to achieve its objective. His Excellency nominated Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the Founder Honorary Chairperson of Indo-Guatemala Cultural Forum. A festival of films from Guatemala was organized by ICMEI at Marwah Studios which got an overwhelming response by film lovers. A photography exhibition was organized at Noida by the Embassy of Guatemala and ICMEI to promote torism of Guatemala. A scholarship has been announced by ICMEI to a deserving candidate from Guatemala to study about films and the entertainment industry.

Indo-Hungarian Film Association was formed in Hungary in 2013 and inaugurated by HE Gyula Takato, Mayor of Town Valery. His Excellency also nominated Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the Founder Chairperson of this Association. Prof. Sandeep Marwah has earned the rare distinction of being nominated as the co-President of Miskolc Film Festival where he was presented with ‘Shoot 4 Life’ and ‘Shoot 4 Earth’ awards. Indo-Hungarian Film Association will be helpful in bringing the people of Hungary and the people of India through art and culture. He has also been nominated as the Vice President of Jury for the first International Festival of Cellphone Cinema in Hungary. A number of delegations have visited the office of ICMEI including film actors, directors and producers; Business investment delegation and a number of delegates from various fields to attend the summits which are held frequently.

H EThorir Ibsen, Ambassador of Iceland to India nominated Dr. Marwah as the Chair of the Forum while inaugurating it in June 2018. A festival of films from Iceland and a tourism session was organized by ICMEI in association with the Embassy of Iceland in New Delhi. The Ambassador has been the guest at various seminars organized by ICMEI during which a scholarship for a candidate from Iceland was also handed over to him.

The relations with Iran have been more than a decade old and regular activities related to art and culture have been promoted by Sandeep Marwah. Iran Film festival has been held at Marwah Studios twice. Film makers, actors and personalities from various fields have been visiting Marwah Studios and conducting regular workshops related to their fields. An Iran week was also organized at the office of ICMEI. Sandeep Marwah has been honoured on various occasions by Iranian authorities for his contribution in promoting art and culture and also to bring close together the people of both the countries.

In a grand function Indo Iraq Film and Cultural Forum was formally inaugurated by H E Dr. Falah Abdulhasan Abdulsada Ambassador of Iraq to India to develop and promote relation between two countries through arts and culture in April 2019. Dresses from Iraq have been a regular feature at the fashion shows during the Fashion and Design Week. Delegates from Iraq have been attending summits which are organized by ICMEI. Film makers and personalities from various fields have regularly visited the office of ICMEI.

While visiting the headquarters of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, in June 2019, HE Bulat Sarsenbayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan in India, was in the favor of a Forum which could be a dynamic link for promotion of cultural relations between the people of Kazakhstan and the people of India. His Excellency decided to form Indo Kazakhstan Film & Cultural forum and dedicate it to the cause of expanding Indo-Kazakh friendship and goodwill. Nominating the President of the Chamber Sandeep Marwah as the Founder chairperson of Indo Kazakhstan Film & Cultural Forum, he was certain that Mr. Marwah would take this friendship to a new level.

The Forum was launched by H E Asein Isaev Ambassador of Kirgizstan in December, 2019. A number of events have been planned to promote art and culture of both the countries and are to be implemented after the pandemic gets over. H E Isaev was also honoured by ICMEI at the Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh. Delegates from Kirgizstan have been attending summits hosted by ICMEI.

ICMEI in association with Embassy of Israel in India had formed Indo-Israeli Cultural Forum in the year 2009, Ms. Shoshana Haim of the Cultural Affairs department of the Embassy nominated on behalf of the govt. of Israel, Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the Chairperson of Indo-Israeli Cultural Forum. This Forum will facilitate exchange of artists; screen Israeli and Indian films in each others country; and established link between the film industries of these two countries. 

History in the relationship between the people of Lebanon and India was created in December 2016 by establishing Indo-Lebanon Cultural Forum, the first tie up of its kind, by the representative of the Govt. of Lebanon in India; Mr. Ghasson Adbel Khalek, Charge d’ Affairs, Embassy of Lebanon. Mr. Khalek nominated Sandeep Marwah, President of International Chamber of Media & Entertainment Industry as the Founder Chairperson of the Forum and consented to be its Patron. HE Ghasson Abdel Khalek hoped that friendly relations between the people of India will be developed and promoted by this Forum through art and culture. Both India and Lebanon have rich cultural heritage, well established film industry and free mass media.

H E Bothata Tsikoane, High Commissioner of Lesotho and sandeep Marwah created the Forum in June, 2018. A scholarship for a deserving candidate from Lesotho for a course in media and entertainment industry for a duration of three months has already been handed over to the High Commissioner who has been attending events related to art and culture hosted by ICMEI. Sandeep Marwah was also honoured by H.E. Mrs Lineo Irene Mabusuela High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho for successful completion of three years of Chairmanship in 2021.

The Indo Liberland Film and Cultural Forum was created in October 2023 for developing film and television business and promotion of art & culture of Liberland in India and vice versa. H E Vit Jedlicka President of Liberland nominated Sandeep Marwah as the Chair of the Forum while Sandeep Marwah presented the certificate of Patronship to the Presient after the Forum was launched.

Indo Maldives Cultural Forum is a joint initiative of ICMEI and the Embassy of Maldives in India. The Forum was created, proposed and inaugurated by H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Ambassador of Maldives to India on the second day of 5^th Global Festival of Journalism Noida in February 2017.  H E felt that the formation of Indo Maldives Cultural Forum was an initiative to bring in better relations between India and Maldives which leads to love, peace and unity between the two countries.

 The Indo Malaysia Film and Cultural Forum was created in April 2018 by H E Dato Hidayat Abdul Hamid and Sandeep Marwah. A delegation of media personnel and a study tour of Malaysia have already been organized by the Forum and was led by Sandeep Marwah where he was also honoured by Malaysian authorities. Cultural evening by a troupe from Malaysia has been organized and delegates have been participating in summits organized by ICMEI.

Asian Society of Film and Television in association with the Embassy of Mongolia in India had decided to form the Indo Mongolia Film and Cultural Forum, with a view to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the people of Mongolia and India through art and culture. Formally launching the association H E Gonchig Ganbold Ambassador of Mongolia to Inda nominated President ICMEI Sandeep Marwah as its founder Chairman.

The Forum was launched in April, 2017 by H E Dr. Janice Darbari, the honorary Consul General of Montenegro in India. Dr. Darbari has graced many events related to art and culture which have been hosted by ICMEI from time to time. Dresses from Montenegro are designed and showcased at fashion shows during the Global Fashion and Design week of ICMEI. A poster painting competition was organized related to friendship and tourism in which over 80 schools had participated. The grand finale was and award ceremony of the competition was inaugurated by Madam Lidija Djukanovic the spouse of His Excellency the President of Montenegro who praised the efforts in organizing the event.

Asian Society for Film & Television in association with the Embassy of Morocco in India had decided to form Indo Morocco Film & Cultural forum in April 2019, with a view to strengthening the bonds of of the two countries through art and culture. Formally launching the Association, His Excellency Mohamed Maliki, Ambassador of Morocco in India nominated the President of International Chamber of Media & Entertainment Industry Sandeep Marwah as its Founder Chairperson. 

The Forum was launched in December 2019 when H E Moe Kyaw Aung nominated Sandeep Marwah as the honorary Chairperson of the Forum and accepted to be the Patron of the Forum. A MOU has been signed between the Embassy of Myanmar and ICMEI to promote art and culture of both the countries and also to provide a scholarship to a deserving candidate from Myanmar for a course in media and entertainment industry for a duration of three months. Delegates from Myanmar have been attending the summits organized by ICMEI from time to time.

In a significant move towards fostering cultural ties, the Indo Mauritius Film and Cultural Forum was ceremoniously launched at the High Commission of Mauritius in the month of June 2023.  The Indo Mauritius Film and Cultural Forum is designed to bolster the relationship between India and Mauritius by facilitating interaction, collaboration, and exchange in the realms of film and culture.  The event was spearheaded by H.E. Haymandoyal Dillum, the High Commissioner of Mauritius to India, who nominated Mr. Sandeep Marwah as the Chair while graciously accepting the Patronship of the Forum

Indo- Nepal Film & Cultural forum was formally launched by the then Hon’ble Prime Minister of Nepal Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli during his visit to India in February 2016. Greatly appreciating the efforts of President, International Chamber of Media & Entertainment Industry Prof. Sandeep Marwah, to unite the people of the world through art and culture, the dignitary from Nepal nominated him is the first Chairperson of the Forum. Indo-Nepal & Cultural Forum is a step towards building better relations between the people of Nepal and the people of India through art and culture. 

The Mission of Nigeria in India in association with Asian Society for Film & Television had formed Indo-Nigerian Film Association in October 2002. This Association will organize screening of films and television programmes in each other’s country; encourage co-production of films and television programmes by the Indian and the Nigerian professionals; and will provide education and training facility to Nigerian nationals in the art of filmmaking and television programme production at the Noida Hon’ble Dr Hygnius Ekwuazi, Managing Director, Nigerian Film Corporation appointed on behalf of Govt. of Nigeria, the President of Asian Society for Film and Television Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the Founder Chairperson of the Association. 

Indo Panama Film and Cultural Forum was created by Mr. Ricardo A Berna M, the Charge d’ Affairs of the Embassy of Panama in December, 2018 to develop and promote better relations between two countries through arts and culture. Mr. Berna was of the opinion that  Sandeep Marwah with a vast experience in cultural diplomacy and in the business of art and culture promotion for many years was the right choice to chair the Forum.

It was the joint decision of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and the High Commission of Papua New Guinea to launch a new committee under the name and banner of Indo Papua New Guinea Film and Cultural Forum in July 2019. H E Palias Korni, High Commissioner of PNG launched the Forum and nominated Sandeep Marwah as the Chairperson to take this initiative further.

Asian Society for Film & Television in association with the Embassy of Peru in India had formed Indo-Peru Film and cultural form in 2010. This forum will popularize the culture of the societies of India and Peru in each others country, through screening of films and television programs, facilitate exchange of artists and help establish relationship between the film industry establishment of these two countries. His Excellency Carlos A. Ingoyen, Deputy Head of the Mission of Peru in India nominated the world renowned media personality Sandeep Marwah as the Founder Chairperson of Indo-Peru Film & Cultural Forum.

Indo-Polish Film Association had been formed during the historic visit of the Marshall of Lower Silesia Hon’ble Rafal Jurkonlaniec to Noida Film City in April 2013, with a view to establish better and cordial relations between the people of Poland and the people of India. The visiting dignitary nominated on behalf of the govt. of Poland, the internationally renowned media personality Sandeep Marwah as in Chairperson of Indo-Polish Film Association. Prof. Sandeep Marwah was presented with the ‘Gate of Freedom’ Award at the International Film Festival of GDYNSK, Poland to which he was invited as a member of the jury. Indo-Polish Film Association will devise ways and means of fulfilling the objectives of founding it.

Indo-Principality Monte De Agrella Cultural Forum – an initiative of President, International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry Prof. Sandeep Marwah, was formed during the historic visit of the first minister of Peace of Principality to India Hon’ble Kaushalya Amaranayaka Siriwardana to India in July 2016.

The Principality Monte De Agrella is a sovereign independent state in Europe.

The Minister hoped that the forum will contribute to the peace and harmony among the people of the world and nominated Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the Chairperson of Indo-Principality Monte De Agrella Cultural Forum.

The Indo Paraguay Film and Cultural Forum was created in October 2021 as an initiative by H E Fleming Raul Duarte, the Ambassador of Paraguay. the feature film 7 Cajas from Paraguay was screened at the 14th Global Film Festival Noida which was appreciated by the audience. Events related to art and culture have been planned and will soon be implemented. The Ambassador has nominated Mr. Marwah as the Chair of the Forum.

Indo-Romaninan Film & Cultural Forum is an initiative of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry. Inaugurating the Forum in November 2015, HE Radu, Octavian Dobre, Ambassador of Romania in India lauded its objective of bringing the people of Romania and the people of India closer through art and culture. The Ambassador nominated the world renowned media personality and the President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the Founder Chairperson of Indo-Romanian Cultural Forum. 

A delegation of Parliamentarians and other dignitaries felt the need of the Indo Russia Film & Cultural Forum and the same was created in March 2018. The delegation felt that in the initial stages students exchange programs, Faculty Exchange Programs, a festival of Films from Russia and joint ventures for short films can be initiated.

Russia, officially the Russian Federation, is a European country located in Eastern Europe with a vast expanse of territory that stretches across Northern Asia.

Indo Rwanda Film and Cultural Forum was created by H E Ernest Rwamucyo the High Commissioner of Rwanda to develop and promote one to one relation between the people of two countries. He also expressed his trust in Sandeep Marwah by nominating him as the Chair of the Forum.

Rwanda, formerly Ruanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a country in Central Africa and one of the smallest countries on the African mainland, and its capital city is Kigali. Located a few degrees south of the Equator, Rwanda is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.k

Indo-Senegal Film & Cultural Forum was formed during the visit of the widely acclaimed as the Global Cultural Minister Prof. Sandeep Marwah to Senegal in 2013. Hon’ble Abdul Aziz Mbate, the Cultural Minister of Senegal formally inaugrated Indo-Senegal Film & Cultural Forum and nominated Sandeep Marwah as its Founder Chairperson. The Hon’ble Minister hoped that this Associatioon will be helpful in the development of art and culture of Senegal and in building strong friendly relations between people of Senegal and people of India. 

The Indo Serbia Cultural Forum was launched by H E Vladimir Maric Ambassador of Serbia to facilitate student exchange, faculty exchange, films exchange, film festivals and production of short films and documentary in joint ventures with Serbian film makers. H E Vladimir, also the Patron of the Forum took the initiative in October 2016.

Serbia, officially the Republic of Serbia, is a land-locked country situated at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe in the southern Pannonian Plain and the central Balkans.

H E Zigmund Bertok Ambassador of the Slovak Republic nominated Dr. Marwah as the Chair of the Forum in May 2018.  An  MOU has been signed with Slovak Republic where ICMEI will provide assistance to Embassy of Slovakia in India to fulfil their aims and objectives to develop and promote relations between two countries through art and culture. Dr. Marwah has also presented a scholarship for a short-term course at Asian Academy of Film and Television for a deserving student from Slovakia.

Indo Slovenia Film & Cultural Forum was formally launched during the memorable visit of the President of the National Assembly of Slovenia to Marwah Studios in 2015. The objective of this forum is to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the people of India and the people of Slovenia through art and culture. The Forum will facilitate the exchange of artists between the two countries, organize screening of films as well as organize seminar to popular culture of the countries in each other’s country. HE Jozef Drofenk. Ambassador of Slovenia in India announced on behalf of his Govt. to nominate President of Asian Society for Film & Television. Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the Founder Chairperson of Indo-Slovenia Film & Cultural Forum.

Indo-South Africa Film Association was formed during the memorable visit of Hon’ble Elizabeth Thabethe Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry of South Africa, to India in 2014. The objective of this Association is to bring the people of India and the people of South Africa closer together through art which includes films and culture. HE Stefenus Botes, Minister Counselor Economics, Embassy of South Africa nominated the world renowned media personality and President of Asian Society for Film & Television Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the Honorary Founder Chairperson of this Association.

The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea India Cultural & Economy Exchange Association (KICEA) in April 2023 to promote cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries. Post signing this MOU, a two day Festival of Films from South Korea was held which was attended by film directors and other guests from South Korea. A photography exhibition was held in Seoul which displayed photographs by Indian photographers showing different colours of India. Many other events have been planned and will be organized soon.

ICMEI in association with the Govt of the Republic of Sudan through its Embassy in India, had formed Indo Sudan Cultural Forum in 2009 with a view to strengthen the bond of friendship between the people of India and the people of Sudan. This Forum will facilitate exchange of artists between the two countries; organize screening of Indian and Sudanese films, and television programmes in each other’s country and will provide education and training facility to the Sudanese nationals in filmmaking and television programme production in India. Hon’ble Siddik Mugata, Ministry of State for Tourism, of the Republic of Sudan and His Excellency Adbalhaleem Mohammed, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan in India were pleased to nominate the President of Asian Society of Film and Television Prof. Sandeep Marwahas the Honorary Chairperson (India Chapter). 

The Forum was inaugurated by H E Nejmeddine Lakhal in July 2019 nominating Dr. Marwah as the Chairperson of ITCF. An MOU has been signed to develop and promote films, television media, art and culture. A scholarship has been announced for the deserving student from Tunisia to study at Asian Academy of Film And Television, a festival of films from Tunisia, A cultural show has also been announced.

The Indo Trinidad and Tobago Film and Cultural Forum was launched as an initiative of the High Commissioner, H E Dr. Roger Gopaul in February 2023. H E Gopaul signed the MOU and a scholarship for one deserving candidate for a three month course in the field of creative arts from Asian Academy of Films and Television was handed over by Mr. Sandeep Marwah. Sandeep Marwah has been nominated as the Chair of the Forum while H E Gopaul has accepted the Patronship of the Forum.

Indo Turkmenistan Cultural Forum is an initiative of Asian Society for Film and Television to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the people of India and the people of Turkmenistan through art and culture. This Forum formed in 2009, will facilitate the exchange of artists between these two countries and organize screening of films and television programmes in each other’s country. Dr. Mrs. Chinar Rustomoeva, Hony Chairperson & Cultural Counselor, Embassy of Turkmenistan in India appointed President of Asian Society for Film & Television Prof. Sandeep Marwah as the Chairperson of Indo-Turkmenistan Cultural Forum and consented to be its Patron.

In a remarkable display of camaraderie and international collaboration, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, bestowed the prestigious patronship of the newly established Indo-Tajikistan Film and Cultural Forum upon His Excellency Lukmon Bobokalonzoda, the esteemed Ambassador of Tajikistan to India. This momentous occasion coincided with the official formation of the forum in September 2023, symbolizing a shared commitment to enhancing cultural ties between the two nations.

H E Farhod Arziev inaugurated the Forum in May 2018 and nominated Dr. Sandeep Marwah to be the Chair of the same. Dr. Marwah led a delegation from India to Uzbekistan which held a meeting with the Ministry of Cinema, Art and Culture, H.E. Vinod Kumar Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, Film And Television And Media companies of Uzbekistan, Student exchange programs, proposals for Film festivals and an award function. A tourism summit was organized by ICMEI apart from announcing a scholarship to a deserving candidate from Uzbekistan for a course at Asian Academy of Film and Television.

The Indo Uruguay Film and Cultural Forum was created in July 2022 for developing film and television business and promotion of art & culture of Uruguay in India and vice versa. H E Alberto A Guani Ambassador of Uruguay nominated Sandeep Marwah as the Chair of the Forum. Sandeep Marwah presented the certificate of Patronship to the Ambassador after the Forum was launched.

Asian Society for Film & Television in association with the Embassy of Venezuela in India had decided to form Indo-Venezuela Film & Cultural Forum in May 2016, with a view to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the people of Venezuela through art and culture. Formally launching the Association, His Excellency Augusto Montiel, Ambassador of Venezuela in India nominated the President of International Chamber of Media & Entertainment Industry Prof. Sandeep Marwah as its Founder Chairperson. The executive committee of this Association will work out ways and means of achieving its objective. 

H E Tonh Sinh Than, Ambassador of Vietnam to India inaugurated the Forum in June 2018, nominating Dr. Marwah as the Chair of the Forum. A tourism summit and a road show have been organized however, the main attraction was the special session of the Global Fashion Week which witnessed Diplomats of the Embassy with their spouses walking the ramp in traditional Vietnamese dresses. The Vice President of Vietnam H E Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Marwah in a meeting where she accepted to be the Chief Patron of the Forum.

President of ICMEI and internationally renowned media personality Prof. Sandeep Marwah had been hailed as a Champion of Wales in recognition of his achievements and commitment to Wales. This rare honor was bestowed upon him by the first Minister of Wales Hon’ble Rhodri Morgan AM/AC and personally conveyed to Sandeep Marwah by the first Deputy Minister of Wales. Hon’ble Leuan Wyn Jones during the later’s visit to India in November 2007. Earlier in the month of January, Hon’ble Rob Thomas, Head Creative Business of Welsh Assembly Govt. had been pleased to issue certificate of Outstanding Contribution to Creative Industries to Prof. Sandeep Marwah.
