Rotary E Club of Winter Haven and ICMEI Observe International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism Noida. The Rotary E Club of Winter Haven and the International Chamber of Media & Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) observed the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism with a solemn and humble function. Hence paying heartfelt tribute to innocent victims and reaffirming the collective commitment to peace, humanity and harmony.
The observance brought together members and well-wishers in a spirit of remembrance. Such as Compassion and solidarity with the families who have suffered the devastating consequences of terrorism. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, Rotary E Club of Winter Haven and ICMEI, said, “Today, we remember with deep respect and a heavy heart all those innocent lives lost to terrorism. Behind every statistic is a family, a dream and a human life. We stand in solidarity with the victims and their families and pray for a world where no person has to live in fear of violence.”
Dr. Marwah emphasised that the fight against terrorism is not only a matter for governments and security agencies but also a collective responsibility of society. He called for greater understanding, dialogue, education and international cooperation to counter hatred and violence.
“Peace begins with respect for human life. We must promote love, compassion, tolerance and mutual understanding among communities and nations. Media, art and culture have a powerful role in spreading the message of peace and bringing people together. Rather than allowing hatred and division to grow,” Dr. Marwah added.
He further observed that young people must be encouraged to reject violence, extremism and hatred and instead become ambassadors of peace, unity and human values.
