New Delhi, 24 May: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extended its heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Alem Tsehaye Woldemariam, Ambassador of the State of Eritrea to India, and to the people of Eritrea on the joyous occasion of the country’s Independence Day, celebrated annually on 24th May.

On behalf of the media and entertainment industry and the art and culture fraternity of India, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, conveyed his warm wishes to the Government and people of Eritrea, appreciating the nation’s remarkable journey of progress, resilience, and development.

“On this significant national occasion, I extend my sincere congratulations to His Excellency Ambassador Alem Tsehaye Woldemariam and the people of Eritrea. Independence Day is a celebration of national pride, unity, and the enduring spirit of freedom. We wish Eritrea continued peace, prosperity, and success in the years ahead,” said Dr. Marwah.

Dr. Marwah further emphasized the growing cultural relations between India and Eritrea and highlighted the efforts being made to strengthen cooperation in the fields of art, culture, media, and education.

“We are actively working on developing joint collaborations and cultural exchanges between our two nations. Art and culture serve as powerful tools for building bridges of friendship, mutual understanding, and people-to-people connections,” he added.

ICMEI has consistently promoted international cultural diplomacy through its various bilateral forums and initiatives, fostering stronger ties between India and countries around the world. The organization looks forward to expanding its engagement with Eritrea through collaborative programs, cultural events, film activities, and educational partnerships.

The message concluded with renewed commitment to enhancing cultural cooperation and strengthening the bonds of friendship between India and Eritrea.
